JEM Dental Care is a Leeds dentist specialising in anxious and nervous care as well as cosmetic dentistry.
Registering with the practice
From the 1st April 2006 NHS dentistry provision in the UK changed. NHS patients are no longer registered directly with practices.
We, however, continue to provide NHS care for our regular NHS patients and can see new patients due to capacity.
Patients can also register directly with the practice as a private patient.
New patients wanting NHS provision, will need to contact their local PCT (Primary Care Trust) to to see if they have details of a local dentist who is still registering new NHS patients.
Appointments and emergencies
You can make an appointment in person or by telephone. Our practice opening hours are detailed below. In the event of an emergency, please contact us as soon as you can, if possible during opening hours on 0113 249 2136. If you require emergency treatment out of surgery hours please telephone 0345 6059999. Out of hours treatment is provided by Leeds PCTs in conjunction with Local Care Direct.
When arranging or cancelling an appointment please contact the practice as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior to the appointment. Failure to do so can result in charges or removal from the practice list.

Special Services for Patients
With your first appointment with us, you'll be encouraged to tell us if you have any special needs. If you have any worries about visiting the dentist please let us know. We specialise in working with anxious and phobic patients.
If you have difficulty with stairs, please let us know; we have access to two ground floor surgeries with adjacent parking to the building and can help people who cannot manage with stairs or who are in a wheelchair.
Ways to pay
You can pay by cash or by credit or debit card including switch, visa, access, mastercard, delta, electron, solo, maestro and american express (your PIN will be required). You may qualify for free treatment under the NHS; please ask for more information. If you are a member of a hospital fund or a private dental scheme (such as denplan) you may be able to claim reimbursement of any private dental fees. Please ask for more information.
