Dr Jane Elizabeth Moore B.D.S, M.F.G.D.P (UK), Dip Con Sed
Founder of the practice, Jane has over 30 years experience delivering professional dental care. Jane's interests lie in cosmetic work and the treatment of anxious patients. Jane is qualified in the provision of sedation and has a diploma awarded by Newcastle University. Jane is also the Yorkshire representative on the B.D.A. General Dental Practice Committee and its Executive in London, and she represents other dentists in Leeds as Chair of the Leeds Local Dental Committee.
Jane’s initial degree was from Sheffield Dental School (B.D.S). She achieved her postgraduate qualification in 1993 making her a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (M.F.G.D.P.) and subsequently was awarded the sedation diploma by Newcastle University (Dip Con Sed) in 2001.
Dr Shahid Anwar B.D.S, D.D.P.H.R.C.S, F.D.S (DPH) R.C.S,
MSc Lond, F.R.A.C.D.S.
With over 20 years dental experience, Shahid passed the
IQE in 2002 and holds full registration with the GDC. His
post graduate qualifications include an MSc from University
of London, DDPH for Royal College of Surgeons of England
and Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Dental
Surgeons (FRACDS).
Shahid is fluent in three further languages; Urdu, Punjabi and Arabic.
Shahid is here providing dental services on Monday evenings & Saturdays.
Dr Ben Attenborough B Ch D.
Ben joined the team on a full time basis in December 2009, and has an interest in treating nervous patients.
Ben graduated here in Leeds in 2006, and is able to see patients on the NHS or private basis.
Ben is here Mondays to Fridays.
Dr Tsvetanka (Tess) Mihova D.D.M.
Tess joined the team on a full time basis in November 2011 to cover Clare's Maternity Leave.
Tess graduated in 2000 from the Sofia Medical University in Bulgaria and is fluent in her native Bulgarian and also English, Spanish and Russian.
She is interested in asaesthetic dentistry and assisting phobic patients.
Tess is here Mondays to Fridays and sees patients on the NHS or private basis.
Dr Clare Whittaker (nee Cooper) B.D.S.
Clare trained at Newcastle University, qualifying in 2000 and joined us in April 2007 having relocated back to Yorkshire from her General Practice post in Peterborough.
Clare enjoys all areas of dentistry and is happy to see patients on an NHS or private basis.
Clare is on Maternity Leave from the end of November 2011.
Janet Mwanje CEB Dip Dent Hygiene & Therapy
Having qualified in 1989 as a Dental Hygienist, Janet joined
JemDentalCare in 1990. Taking her diploma in 1996 and
qualifying as a Dental Therapist in 2000, she now has
18 years of experience and knowledge in the dental profession.
Janet works closely with all our dentists in the prevention and maintenance of periodontal problems.
Janet is here Wednesdays.
Rebecca Reynolds Dip Dent Hygiene & Therapy
Becky received her Diploma in Dental Hygiene & Therapy in 2005 here in Leeds at the Leeds Dental Institute. Becky has worked in the dental profession since 2001 and brings the additional service of Dental Therapist to our practice.
Becky is here Tuesdays and Saturdays to give our patients more flexible appointment options.
Liz Barraclough
As practice manager, Liz is responsible for the smooth
running of the practice and for liaising with patients
and the wider team at JEM Dental Care.
Liz is a member of the Asssociation of Dental Administrators and Managers and attends regular meetings to enhance and continually develop the practice.
Liz also works as a Regional Consultant and Scheme Assessor for the British Dental Association's Good Practice Scheme.
Alexandra Cussans
Alexandra is our Assistant Manager and is here on a full time basis.
A Qualified Dental Nurse from the Leeds Dental Institute in 1994, she took the Conscious Sedation in Sheffield in 1996 enabling her to monitor patients in our sedation sessions and takes part in our annual ILS training along with our dentists.
In 2006 she took her radiography qualification at the Leeds Metropolitan University which enables her to carry out patients x-rays. And in 2011 she completed the Extended Nurses Duties course enabling her to take Impressions for dentures and gum shields.
She is also trained in Oral Health Education and is our Caldicott Guardian (Confidentiality Monitor) for the Practice.

Our team hold a wide range of qualifications from dental
nursing to radiography, conscious sedation, oral health
education and smoking cessation.
